Frequently Asked Questions

UAV systems · selection, specifications, compliance, ordering and support

These are the questions we are asked most often by commercial drone operators, integrators and procurement teams — covering selection, technical specifications, export and radio compliance, pricing, and applications across every product line we supply. Everything below reflects our published After-Sales Policy — if your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp and we will answer it directly.

What does Aerosys Technology supply?

We are a supplier of unmanned equipment system solutions and components. Our catalogue covers 96 product models across 7 categories: Ground Control Stations, Video and Data Links, Gimbals and Cameras, VTOL Fixed-Wing UAVs, Multi-rotor UAVs, Unmanned Ground Vehicles, and Mowers and Lawn Equipment — serving commercial operators, system integrators and enterprises worldwide from our base in Hong Kong.

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on the product line. Complete platforms such as VTOL aircraft and unmanned ground vehicles are quoted per set. Ground control stations, gimbal systems and video link systems are quoted on a 5-unit basis. Individual components and mowers are available from a single piece. The MOQ for each item is listed on its product page.

Are your prices EXW or delivered?

Published prices are in USD on an EXW basis unless the quotation says otherwise. EXW means the price covers the goods at our premises; international freight, insurance, import duty, VAT and destination charges are additional and are the buyer's responsibility. Send us your destination country and postcode and we will give you a delivered estimate.

How long does shipping take?

In-stock components are generally prepared within 1 to 3 business days after payment clears. Typical transit time is roughly 3 to 7 business days by international express (DHL, UPS or FedEx) and 7 to 21 business days by standard parcel service, with air or sea freight arranged for larger and heavier items. These are estimates rather than guarantees, because customs processing is outside our control.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted methods are stated on the order confirmation and are typically bank transfer. Payment must be received in full before dispatch unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. Bank charges, currency conversion and intermediary fees are the buyer's responsibility.

Do you ship internationally, and who handles customs?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Unless the order confirmation states otherwise, the buyer is the importer of record and is responsible for import licences, permits, product registrations, customs declarations, duty, VAT and any destination charges. We will not declare a false value, description or origin, and we supply the commercial invoice and documentation needed for clearance.

How do I get a quotation, and how long is it valid?

Send us the model numbers and quantities you need — WhatsApp is the fastest route, and email works too. Quotations are issued in USD and are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless a different period is stated. An order is confirmed only when we issue a written order confirmation and receive the agreed payment; a quotation or a WhatsApp message alone is not an accepted order.

Are the products genuine original-manufacturer products?

Yes. Every unit is sourced through verified supply channels with traceability back to the original manufacturer, and orders are inspected before dispatch. Products are supplied as OEM items, the manufacturers' standard warranties apply, and warranty periods are stated on the product page or on the order confirmation.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects arising under normal use and correct installation, for the product-specific period stated on the product page or order confirmation. It does not cover normal wear and tear, battery capacity degradation, crash or impact damage, water or moisture damage, incorrect voltage or incompatible equipment, unauthorised modification or repair, or operation outside published specifications. To claim, send the order number, model and serial number, a description of the fault, and photographs, video or logs as requested.

Can I return a product?

Eligible unused stock items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to inspection and approval, and returns require prior written authorisation — contact us for an RMA number before shipping anything back. The item must be unused, uninstalled, unflown and unactivated, complete and undamaged, in its original packaging with labels, accessories and serial numbers intact. Customised or made-to-order items, anything installed or flown, and batteries or consumables that have been used or charged are not returnable unless confirmed defective or incorrectly supplied.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Inspect the goods promptly and keep all packaging. Report shortages, wrong items or transit damage within 7 days of delivery, quoting your order number and providing photographs or video. Do not install, power on, fly or modify a product that may have been damaged in transit until we have given you instructions. Approved refunds are normally initiated within 5 business days after the returned goods have been received and inspected.

Do you offer OEM, custom configurations or custom bundles?

Yes. We support OEM configurations and custom bundles built around specific operational requirements, including motor, ESC and propeller combinations matched to a platform's thrust and voltage needs. Configured and made-to-order items follow the lead time stated on the order confirmation. Customised, configured or branded items are not returnable unless confirmed defective or incorrectly supplied.

Can you ship batteries?

Yes, but batteries and other dangerous goods need special packaging, documentation and handling, and may ship separately from other items on the same order. This can affect the delivery schedule, so we confirm the arrangement when the order is placed. Batteries and consumables that have been used or charged are not returnable unless confirmed defective.

Do you sell complete aircraft, or only components?

Both, within the professional UAV space. Alongside components such as ground control stations, video and data links, gimbals and remote-controlled mowers, we list complete platforms: Hanke VTOL fixed-wing aircraft (the G series and the AT-ELF multi-rotor drone) and the Hanke tracked unmanned ground vehicle range (D50, D100 and D200). We do not list weapon stations or military-effect payloads.

I am not sure which component fits my build — can you help me choose?

Yes. Tell us your platform, all-up weight, voltage, required control range and operating environment, and we will point you to suitable options. As a rule of thumb: size the propulsion and battery pack around the all-up weight and your thrust-to-weight target first, then match the flight controller and video link to the required range and payload, and choose the ground control station last. If two people need to work at once — for example a pilot and a camera operator — a dual operator system lets one fly the aircraft while the other controls the gimbal over a single link.

How do I choose between a multi-rotor and a VTOL fixed-wing UAV?

Match the platform to endurance and area first, payload second. VTOL fixed-wing suits missions beyond roughly 60 minutes or 10 km²: the AT-G10 flies 4 hours at 4 kg payload. Multi-rotors win for hovering, precision work and short heavy lifts — the AT-ELF carries 800 g for 34 minutes.

Which VTOL fixed-wing should I choose for a 30 kg payload?

Neither G-series model fits 30 kg directly: the AT-G10 is rated to 10 kg payload and the AT-G190 starts at 190 kg. For 30 kg, either fly the AT-G190 well below its rating or split the load across two AT-G10s. Send us the mission profile and we will size it.

What payload can the AT-G190 heavy-lift VTOL carry, and how long can it stay up?

The AT-G190 lifts 190 kg at a 470 kg maximum take-off weight, flying 5 hours at the full 190 kg or 27 hours at 60 kg, at a 200 km/h cruise. Two belly-mounted payload stations support mixed payload configurations in a single sortie.

What is the difference between the HK-T, HK-M and HK-S link series?

All three run on 1.4 GHz with real-time spectrum sensing and frequency hopping. The T series is anti-interference point-to-point, up to 300 km at 20 Mbps. The M series adds MESH networking to 128 nodes at 40 Mbps. The S series trades bandwidth for reach: 5 Mbps up to 500 km.

Which gimbal gives the longest detection range?

The AT-135T pairs a 40x optical zoom block with a 640x512 LWIR imager and a 1535 nm laser rangefinder in a 1.4 kg, 135 mm package. Where weight is tight, the AT-64DA weighs 260 g and still detects a person at 1.6 km and a vehicle at 6.8 km.

Which ground control station has the longest control range?

The G30 gives up to 30 km of combined control and video on a 10.1-inch sunlight-readable screen, with 2.4/5.8 GHz automatic band switching and a 4-6 hour battery. The UniRC 10 Pro adds a 1080P screen, adjustable 10/20 MHz bandwidth and hot-swappable endurance packs.

Which mower suits the widest cut?

The SDL292-130B cuts 1300 mm with a 0-700 mm remote lift and travels 0-7 km/h on a 292 cc diesel engine, at 570 kg net. For lighter or narrower work the SDL224-55A cuts 550 mm at 131 kg. Every mower in the range works to a 680 m remote range.

How many nodes can a HANKELINK MESH network support?

Up to 128 nodes in a network configuration across the M, S, D and X series; the point-to-point T series supports 3-node networking. One fabric carries control, telemetry, HD video and multi-sensor data across UAV, USV, UGV, robot-dog, maritime and mountain-relay nodes.

Do your EO/IR gimbals support 360-degree continuous rotation?

Yes. The AT-100T, AT-115T, AT-125T and AT-135T all provide N x 360 degree continuous azimuth with -120 to +40 degree elevation, and the ZT30 has a 360 degree continuous yaw axis. Continuous rotation lets you orbit a target without a cable wrap or a blind sector.

What video latency does your HD transmission system have?

The HM30 delivers 1080P over 20 km at roughly 150 ms latency, with remote control, telemetry and video combined on one link. Latency matters most for manual flight and live gimbal tracking; for mapping and survey work, link stability and range matter more than the last 50 ms.

What is the payload of the tracked UGVs?

The D50 carries 30 kg, the D100 80 kg and the D200 200 kg. All three are tracked, use electric servo motors with planetary reducers, climb 30 to 35 degrees and cross a 400 mm trench. The D50 runs for 150 minutes and covers at least 10 km per charge.

Can your mowers work on slopes?

Yes. The SDL764-90A and SDL608-80B are rated to 60 degrees, and the diesel SDL195-80B and SDL292-130B to 45 degrees. Tracked models use engineering-rubber tracks with remote blade lift, which suits embankments, terraces and solar-plant rows. Confirm the slope angle and surface before ordering.

What is the operating frequency band of the HANKELINK links?

All HANKELINK series operate on 1.4 GHz and support custom frequency bands. Transmit power ranges from 0-27 dBm on the compact HK-T27 up to 0-46 dBm (dual 40 W) on the HK-T46, HK-M46 and HK-S46, which dissipate 172 W at full output.

Do your gimbals work with ArduPilot and PX4?

The ZT30 accepts S.Bus, Ethernet, UDP/TCP and UART and is compatible with ArduPilot and PX4. HANKELINK links expose network, RS232, TTL and SBUS ports that connect to the flight controller over a serial link. Tell us your autopilot and we confirm the wiring before dispatch.

Are your products export-controlled, and what documentation do you provide?

Export licensing is the buyer's responsibility: the purchaser obtains export qualifications, licences and end-user documentation and complies with the import, export, sanctions and radio rules of China, the destination country and any transit country. We supply commercial invoices and standard shipping documents, and we do not support resale to sanctioned entities or conflict zones.

Do your radio links meet local frequency regulations?

The HANKELINK links run on 1.4 GHz and support custom bands, but the operating frequency, bandwidth and transmit power must comply with local radio regulations and the necessary licences must be obtained by the operator. Licensing, frequency configuration and regional suitability remain subject to contract and technical confirmation.

Are your products CE or FCC certified?

Certification is product-specific and stated on the product page or order confirmation where it applies; the certification field is empty for models supplied without a certificate. Because radio approval is country-specific, confirm the target market before ordering and we will tell you exactly what documentation ships with the unit.

Do you sell military or weapon-capable equipment?

No. The catalogue covers civilian, industrial and compliant scientific research use only. We do not list weapon stations or military-effect payloads, and we do not supply armed-conflict, unlawful-surveillance or sanctions-restricted end users. Every product is supplied for lawful commercial and industrial applications.

How are your prices set, and why are some products priced on request?

Published prices are in USD on an EXW basis. Models shown as Price on Request are quoted individually because configuration, quantity and destination move the figure — the remote-controlled mowers and the HANKELINK links sit in this group. Send model, quantity and destination and we will quote within one business day.

Do you offer volume pricing?

Yes. Ground control stations, gimbal systems and video link systems are quoted on a 5-unit basis, while VTOL aircraft, UGVs and the heavy-lift multi-rotors are quoted per set. Larger volumes are quoted individually. Tell us the target quantity and we will return the applicable tier.

Why do some product pages not show a price?

A model is listed without a price when the landed figure depends on configuration or destination — typically the mowers, the HANKELINK links and the two heavy-lift multi-rotors. The product page still carries full specifications, and the Inquire button opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message with the model already quoted.

Can your equipment be used for powerline inspection?

Yes. A typical fit is an AT-G10 VTOL for 2-hour line patrols or a multi-rotor for close tower work, carrying the AT-135T 40x zoom and 640x512 thermal gimbal, linked over the HM30 or a HANKELINK T-series link. Thermal and zoom channels together identify hot joints and damaged fittings.

Can your mowers handle solar-farm vegetation?

Yes. The SDL452-70B is specified for photovoltaic plants: a 700 mm cut with remote lift and up to 60 degree slope capability on engineering-rubber tracks. Remote operation keeps crews off live arrays and steep ground. The 1300 mm SDL292-130B suits larger solar and utility sites.

Can your UGVs be used for hazardous-area inspection?

Yes. The tracked D50, D100 and D200 carry 30 to 200 kg, cross a 400 mm trench and climb 30 to 35 degrees, so they can take sensors, cameras or sampling equipment into areas unsafe for people. They are remotely operated, and payload integration is quoted per project.

Can the heavy-lift multi-rotors be used for aerial delivery?

Yes. The MT100 lifts 100 kg at a 200 kg maximum take-off weight with a 10 km control range and a 1500 m service ceiling; the M50 lifts 50 kg at 100 kg maximum take-off weight. Both ship with flight controller, power system, remote controller, camera and RTK.

Can your datalink equipment be used for maritime or mountain relay?

Yes. The HANKELINK architecture is built for UAV, USV, UGV, robot-dog, maritime and mountain-relay nodes, using point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, MESH and relay topologies. The S series reaches 500 km ground-to-air, and the HK-GE tracking gimbal with built-in RTK keeps the beam on moving targets.
